Our ATC Toy Hauler Has Reached 25,000 Miles

This past week, our ATC Toy Hauler reached its 25,000th mile of towing.

It took 2 years and 3 months to get there.

Most trailers don’t come with an odometer for tracking miles towed, but I started keeping track of miles on a little note-keeping app on my cellphone. I did because I wanted to know for my own knowledge, just because we live full time in our toy hauler. But I also wanted to keep track of how many miles our trailer tires are putting on too.

If someday, you plan to sell your trailer, someone may also want to know how many miles are on it.

I don’t know if 25,000 miles in 27 months is a lot of towing for full timers, but I feel pretty good about it. So far, the ATC toy hauler has been a good investment for Sash and I. The stuff that ATC builds themselves like the chassis, the frame, the roof, floor, cabinetry, and doors, all have held up well over those miles. If anything, it’s the third-party components, like Dometic, Suburban, Shur-Flo, Atwood, et al, that tends to wear out over time.

But considering this trailer is our home, we want it to keep us warm and dry, and thus far it has done that.

Here’s to the next 25,000 miles…

Meanwhile, work continues as usual. UFO activity continues on and keeps me busy.

I'm a "Man in Black", one of those guys who goes around dressed in black suits, looking for people who were abducted by UFOs so that we can keep them quiet. Sash and I travel around in this trailer awaiting orders from headquarters for my next assignment. I can't show you the details of my work, but I can show you how I live.
