If you’re an alien from outer space looking for a great place to “crash” somewhere in the Solar System, look no further than Best Western Space Age Lodge in Gila Bend, AZ.

While rolling across America on our extended motorcycle travels we passed through Gila Bend, AZ, a busy little town in the middle of scorching hot desert connecting the cities of Yuma and Phoenix.

Behold! What’s this funky 1960’s era googie style homage to intergalactic time warp lunatics?

The Best Western Space Age Lodge was created in the late 1960s at a time when the United States was just about put it’s first man on the Moon. It continues today to be a popular destination for travelers wandering through on a hot afternoon as well as little green men after a long day’s work of abductions and anal probings.

Lunch was delicious in the lodge’s Spage Age Restaurant right next door. equipped with a wide array of items for the space and alien lover in your life. The most fascinating part of the stop were the incredible murals that were painted in the lodge as well as the restaurant/gift shop.

This is a stop that desert riders don’t want to miss.

I'm a "Man in Black", one of those guys who goes around dressed in black suits, looking for people who were abducted by UFOs so that we can keep them quiet. Sash and I travel around in this trailer awaiting orders from headquarters for my next assignment. I can't show you the details of my work, but I can show you how I live.
