Dows, IA Rest Area, I-35, Lots of Overnight Parking

Folks traveling along I-35 through Iowa will find lots of overnight parking at the rest area in Dows.

The Dows I-35 Rest Area has 48 parking spaces for trucks and RVs. But making things better, this rest area is not busy at all. You’ll find plenty of available parking all through the night.

The rest area itself has lot of amenties too.

There’s an RV dump station, though no potable water. Next to the dump station are trash dumpsters. The area has picnic facilities, BBQ grills, and inside the visitor building are vending machines, maps, and very clean facilities.

Across the street from the rest area is a gas station.

Because this rest area is not very busy, it tends to remain quiet at night aside from the Interstate noise.

I stayed overnight here, Sunday, August 4, 2019.

I'm a "Man in Black", one of those guys who goes around dressed in black suits, looking for people who were abducted by UFOs so that we can keep them quiet. Sash and I travel around in this trailer awaiting orders from headquarters for my next assignment. I can't show you the details of my work, but I can show you how I live.
