For the third year in a row, Sash and I today embarked on another year of motorcycle touring across the United States. This year around, we’re planning to stay within the Western USA.
But we’re looking at anywhere from 210-240 days on the road, traveling up through the Pacific Northwest, riding across the northern states of Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, and Minnesota, cutting down through South Dakota for the 75th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, and down through Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and back home through New Mexico and Arizona.
To kick things off, we’re actually headed in Tucson, AZ for a few weeks, and then into Scottsdale for Arizona Bike Week. After that, we’ll follow the course outlined above.
As we’ve done in Road Pickle 2013 & 2014, we’ll be spending lots of time in the major cities so that we have time to catch up on our marketing work. We’ll try to hit up some of the best motorcycling roads, visit with fellow riders, and snap a lot of photos.
We’re also going to post our trip updates here on RoadPickle.com. In the past, we’ve kinda piece-mealed our reports, posting some on Sash Mouth! and some on Motorcycle Philosophy. This year, RoadPickle.com is where we’ll post the regular updates, while the other sites will be limited to our personal musings.
Our first stop on Road Pickle 2015?
Yuma, AZ!
