This South Dakota Motorcycle Trip Planner details roads, restaurants, lodgings, and destinations that we’ve found made our travels throughout South Dakota a more freeing, cleaning, and soulful experience.

Sash and I each visited and experienced these places and selected them here because they enriched us human beings and inspired us to write about them.

South Dakota is divided in two geographical sections, east of the Missouri River which is flat and farmland, and west of the Missouri which is rolling hills and mountains. Most of the best riding is found in the western end in the Black Hills, centered around Rapid City, Sturgis, and Hill City. Modern amenities can also be found in Sioux Falls and Pierre.
